It is a very ancient Chinese practice with origins in Chinese Medicine. When done regularly it can improve our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Qi Gong has been practiced for over 4000 years and is one of the most practiced forms of exercise in the world. It can be described as mindfulness in motion.  How is Qi Gong practiced?   Breath: Intention/Purpose – Breath (Qi) is our life force energy   Activation: Activate energy – over time the energy settles in and pools and can become stagnant (from too much sitting, being inactive)   Warmups: strengthening, improving circulation, mobilizing joints   Stretch: purging emotional stress and tension held in the muscles Flow: slow, flowing, meditative movements   Meditation: focus on body/breath /intention   Facilitator: Patty Owens, pattyjean19@icloud.com
