ONSITE Yoga Nidra Meditation w/ Elizabeth Anderson

Elizabeth Anderson Nidra Headshot 2024
12:15 – 1:15 pm (EST), monthly on the 2nd Wednesday in the FEELING room.
I will be honored if you come experience a yoga Nidra with me. Yoga Nidra is known as a yogic sleep. It has been proven to reduce stress and engage the sympathetic nervous system to reduce overactive “fight or flight” brain activity. With continued practice, one can work toward a neutralization of thought to reduce reactions to activities, words and situations that may trigger a person. Yoga Nidra takes you through a practice to focus on sound, breath, body and then a mindful meditation practice to calm your mind. This practice is for all levels. You will be in a relaxed position for most of the class, so please wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat. If you don’t have a yoga mat, bliss will provide one for you.

I became interested in the physical practice of yoga when I became pregnant with my daughter as a way to remain active 17 years ago, and I still love it.  About a year ago, I received my 200-hour yoga certification which included yoga for anxiety and yoga Nidra. I’m learning that yoga is so much more than the pose, that it is a constant practice and walk through life that takes me more into the mediative as well. I was drawn to yoga Nidra as it teaches letting go or attraction and aversion. This is a notion that greatly appealed to me as I had a lot of material that I wanted to let go of both past and present. I’m still moving in that direction and would be honored to share and experience this growth with anyone that wants to join me in a yoga Nidra practice at bliss.

I work as a real estate broker and I love baking, paddleboarding, walking, reading, and trying any new restaurant. I have the best cat in the world. You may check him out on Instagram at The Daily Big.
